Todd and Julia are getting married
Saturday, August 20, 2005
in sunny Portland, Oregon.
Ack! That's, like, sometime in the past!
Write it down.
Friday, August 19
9ish Social hobnobbing and drinks with Todd and Julia at the Lucky Labrador brew pub (915 SE Hawthorne Blvd.). Come and hang out with us and enjoy one of Portland's many fine brew pubs. The Lucky Lab is in many ways pure Portland, with many a hoppy beer and accomodations for dogs on the porch outside. For those with young'uns, the Lucky Lab is smoke-free on the inside. We'll arrive after the rehearsal dinner is over. If the mob decides to migrate somewhere else, call Todd at 971-235-2437 to find out its new location.
Saturday, August 20
1:30pm The wedding ceremony begins at The Old Church (1422 SW 11th Ave.).
2ish–6pm Free activities period! We've set up some activities you can use to escape the heat of the day (both options are air-conditioned) and bide your time until the reception.
Option #1 is to tour the Portland Art Museum — free tickets will be given out after the ceremony. The art museum is open until 5pm and is conveniently located at 1219 SW Park Ave, walkably halfway between The Old Church and The Crystal Ballroom. The Streetcar also travels along 10th between The Old Church and the art museum.
Option #2 is to visit Stumptown, Todd and Julia's favorite coffee shop, where all coffee, tea, and soft drinks are on us! Yes, they serve iced coffee drinks. Located at 128 SW 3rd, it's walkable, or you can just catch any bus headed north on 6th, get off at Oak, and walk the few blocks the rest of the way.
6pm The reception begins at The Crystal Ballroom (1332 W Burnside) with cocktails.
6:30pm Dinner is served at the reception. Music, dancing, and whatnot to follow.
